A vacancy exists for a Quality Engineer reporting to the Station Manager, and with an additional functional reporting line to the Risk and Internal Control Manager. This is a new role.

The successful applicant will be responsible for implementing, maintaining and continuously improving an integrated Quality Management Process for all activities at the Teesside site in order to assist in delivering improved plant performance.

 
Job Description:
Among the key objectives for the role are the minimization, through the Quality Management Process, of the number of quality failures and non-conformances across all Teesside activities, including goods and services supplied by contractors and their sub-contractors, and optimisation of plant performance (reliability and efficiency) through the Quality Management Process.

The Quality Engineer will also advise on the processes and policies that are required to ensure compliance with relevant standards, and ensure that all related internal and external audits, assessments and accreditations properly contribute to an effective Quality Management Process.
 
Skills and Qualifications
Through the additional functional reporting line to the Risk and Internal Control Manager, the Quality Engineer is also responsible for ensuring that the Teesside Quality Management Process is effectively integrated into the corporate approach to continuous improvement. Preferably degree or HNC qualified and with a professional membership, the successful candidate should have a proven record of experience in a relevant industry and be capable of managing a quality function. They should have excellent communication skills, an ability to produce documentation to a high standard, and the ability to influence within local and corporate management structures. Quality focus, innovation, the ability to challenge established conventions and a desire to create a culture of continuous improvement are key skills and qualities being sought via this role. networx is not a typical agency.
